The York Rubber Hex Dumbbell is a safe, attractive dumbbell with a contoured, knurled chrome handle and durable rubber-covered heads for safety and comfort. The heads are torque-threaded and permanently affixed to a solid steel shaft improving the strength of the head/handle joint. The knurled chrome handle is ergonomically contoured to fit comfortably in your palm. York offers a lifetime warranty on the structural integrity and ensures that the heads will not detach from the bar.

This is a great dumbbell! Grip is good and it smells good too (if you like that rubbery smell, which I do!). Delivery was super fast. Price is good too, albeit shipping is pricey.

I'm very glad I found these, as 17.5lb hex weights are not easy to find. They are brand new. It's been about a week, and the rubber smell has minimized, though I do still smell it when I'm doing upper body exercises and bringing the weights near my face. There are treatment options online to minimize rubber odor, but I haven't been bothered that much.
